Through the simple act of caring, you hold the power to change a life and a community. The White Center Food Bank is the main source of emergency food in one of our state's poorest communities. Your donation will help provide a basic need to more than 53,000 individuals per year.
While we can't end the widespread suffering caused by hunger today, together we can still make an immediate difference. We can:
- Ensure a baby goes to sleep without the pain of an empty stomach.
- Ensure a child has nourishment to start the school day and concentrate in class.
- Ensure a homeless person has a stable source of food for her family and a support network to build a new life.
- Ensure a senior receives sustenance.
How can you make a difference for a hungry family?
- Through a donation of food to provide comfort and familiarity to the Vietnamese, Cambodian, Somali, Hispanic, and Russian immigrants who make up our wonderfully diverse community.
- Through a monthly pledge, which brings stability to our small, overworked budget by paying for fundamental expenses like electricity and gas for our grocery rescue van.
- Through an immediate cash, check or credit card donation, which can be used for important actions like stocking our baby pantry and delivering food to the homebound.
